The University of Pristina, temporarily settled in Kosovska Mitrovica hosted the final meeting of
the Tempus project, Partnership in Quality Assurance Standards Implementation (PIQAS) on 2nd
and 3rd April, 2014.
The PIQAS project, whose objective was establishing a vibrant and successful quality assurance
system at the UPKM, started in November 2010. The project activities addressed raising
awareness about quality culture and developing a successful quality assurance system. During
the three years of the project, the participating institutions have been working on developing
quality assurance systems of the UPKM throughout training activities, lectures, and study
visits.
The meeting aimed at informing a broader audience about implemented project activities,
discussing the project news, deliverables, results, and preparing for final report.
The representatives of the 3 partner institutions, academic, non-academic staff and students of
the UPKM came together in Kosovska Mitrovica, to participate in the two-day final PIQAS project
meeting and share the results of more than three years of work on different aspects in the
field of quality assurance system enhancement, implementation, and organization.
